Pirgos is the highest village of Santorini, and is very well preserved. Many parts of the village, look the same for hundreds of years. Due to its location, Pirgos offers great views to the whole island, starting with the vineyards surrounding the village, all the way down to the sea. You can explore the narrow pathways , and walk all the way to the top of the village.Tiny shops, small caffes and restaurants are hidden in the small alleys.
The village might not be as advertised or as touristic like Oia or Fira, but its worth visiting.
